Inspired by the growing interest in the sport of curling during the 2010 Olympics, four Cincinnati residents took initiative to get the rocks and other equipment needed to curl locally. So with a mini van full of rocks, dragging the tail pipe on the I-71, the Cincinnati Curling Club was born- ready to spread the word about the great sport of curling to the Greater Cincinnati Area.
Since being founded in 2012, the club has grown from just four official members to over 100. We've had the opportunity to share our love for curling with over 1,000 people through the variety of programs we offer. We've hosted dozens of corporate curling outings as well as organized adult curling leagues, youth leagues, and instructional leagues.
Our passion for growing the sport has led us to local facilities like Indian Hill Winter Club, Cincinnati Gardens, Sports Plus, Fountain Square, Summit Park and even as far as Oxford at the Goggin Ice Center at Miami University. People have come from Louisville, Lexington, Indianapolis and Huntington to learn about the game. All of our success and commitment has led us to our very own dedicated facility.
With our own ice, we are excited to grow the sport of curling to unprecedented levels in the Greater Cincinnati Area.
