Looking to sharpen your delivery skills? Join us for a one-hour skill development clinic focusing on improving balance and line of delivery.
This clinic is aimed at beginniner to intermediate curlers.
The first five minutes will be a quick introduction to the purpose of the clinic: covering setup in the hack, balance in the hack and through the transition to the slide, and how to maintain the line through delivery. All participants will then split into two equal groups: 8 members in each. For the next twenty minutes one of the groups will focus on the line of delivery while the other is instructed on balance. After the initial twenty minutes are up, the groups will switch. The final 15 minutes will be discussion of how to continue the principles into the future, as well as building a practice plan for yourself.
Drills will include sliding with two rocks, sliding with your broom in front of you, sliding through cones, and sliding at a laser. Our instructors will oversee the drills, offering personalized feedback on what went well and areas for improvement, as well as answering any questions. While these are 'basic' drills, they teach the fundamentals of the curling delivery that are essential to a clean slide.

Help us ring in the New Year with our 6th Hair of the Dog Funspiel!
This event is a Funspiel, which means that our main goal is to have as much curling fun as possible as we kick-off 2026. This also means that there will be no group registrations as we hope this will give everyone the opportunity to make some new friends in our incredible community. All teams will be randomly assigned with the caveat that we will do our best to include a curler who is comfortable with skipping on each team.
